Numerous subcategories fall within each of these primary categories. Some of these subcategories include development, education, healthcare and basic living necessities.
Live and Give Back
When you volunteer as part of an abroad volunteer program, it serves a dual purpose in your life. Not only are you able to make a difference in the lives of the people who live in the community, but it typically ends up changing your life as well. Volunteers tend to live in the villages and get immersed in the culture of the community where they are volunteering. Many volunteers who participate in programs such as these cite that they received as much as they were able to give because of the experience.
